This is a recent decision of the French-speaking corporate court of Brussels. Therefore Uber is totally legal. The car rental company with driver (LVC) can continue to operate in Brussels. It was said in a clear way by the court that UberX is not a taxi service.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Several professional associations and companies in the taxi sector, including the &#8220;FEBET&#8221;, had brought an action for the termination of UberX&#8217;s activities in Brussels. The judge of the court rejected all the lawsuits against Uber. The judge confirmes that the professional drivers using the application of the same name could not be considered as employees of the American company.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&#8220;It should be made clear that Uber does not provide a transport service, it does not own any vehicles, it does not have a taxi license or a license from LVC. &#8220;Location Voiture Avec Chauffeur&#8221; meaning Car rental with a driver. The service offered by a driver via the Uber application can not, therefore, be considered a <a href=\"https:\/\/taxitoairportservice.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">taxi service<\/a>. The company is, therefore &#8220;determined to be a true long-term partner for Brussels&#8221;. According to her, more than 1,000 professional LVC drivers and 100,000 passengers actively use the app. (source from Belga).
